My husband and I moved to Munich from the south of England last year when he landed a job. I made the decision to leave my position at the Victoria & Albert Museum in London, where I was a photographic conservator, and move over here when Lee’s job became permanent. Having recently rented a house outside the city (and moved the same week the city went on lockdown) with a garden which is abuzz with spring flora and fauna, has given me a sense of peace right now. It’s been tricky in a new country..re-making friends, navigating the language and figuring out where you fit into the scheme of things. Staying artistically motivated is a challenge as well..but having this group created has been a beacon in the gloom. I have felt more motivated to share work and get back into old forms of art. So much creativity and support here during these weird times. Thank you to all the Galley-19 for sharing your unique creations! ‘
